Gift Card Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (Terms) apply to all Joylab gift cards for Joylab Group Limited (Joylab), trading as Star Hospitality Group Limited (Star Group), and the establishments within the Joylab Group. A list of participating establishments can be found at joylab.co.nz/establishments (Participating Establishments). Participating Establishments may also display signage indicating they are part of Joylab™ Rewards.

When you purchase a Joylab gift card, either through the website joylab.co.nz/giftcards (Website) or through a Participating Establishment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Joylab may amend these Terms from time to time. We recommend that you review the Terms regularly to check for any changes.

You can check your gift card balance at any time at transactortech.co.nz/joylab. The minimum gift card value is NZ$30.00. A NZ$2.00 processing fee will apply to each card purchased via the Website. For corporate orders, a NZ$2.00 processing fee will apply to each card purchased.

Once processed, a gift card purchase cannot be cancelled, and gift cards cannot be returned or refunded after purchase. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given. A gift card can be partially redeemed and the balance remains on the card for further purchases, until the expiry date or full redemption of the gift card voucher, whichever is the sooner.

Delivery of gift cards will be by courier for a flat fee, stated at joylab.co.nz/giftcards and will be on a signature-required basis. Delivery will be to New Zealand addresses only and will usually be within 5 working days (excluding rural delivery).

Gift cards should be looked after as if they were cash. Joylab takes no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen gift cards, or gift cards purchased or used without permission.

Joylab Reward Dollars cannot be earned or redeemed on any transaction that involves the purchase or redemption of a gift card.

For gift cards purchased prior to 10 November 2023, card balances are valid for 24 months from date of purchase. For gift cards purchased from 10 November 2023 onwards, card balances are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Any outstanding value at the date of expiry will not be refunded.

Joylab collects personal information at the time of a Gift of Joy gift card for the purposes outlined in our Privacy Policy and below:

Joylab collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

• to verify your identity;

• to allow you to make reservations to use our services;

• to provide information about our products and services to you;

• to run promotions and competitions;

• to conduct market research;

• to improve our services;

• to answer your questions and resolve complaints;

• to investigate any complaints or queries surrounding suspected fraudulent Gift of Joy purchases; and any other uses that you authorise.
